Biography

Yukthi is an Executive Coach and a specialist in Communication. He believes that one-on-one coaching in leadership, management, and communication can help ambitious, high-potential employees to speed up the corporate ladder and achieve success, fulfillment, and happiness. Having lived, learned, and worked in 3 different continents and travelled to 31 countries in 5 continents, Yukthi brings a global worldview to his coaching practice.

In his career, Yukthi has earned the highest management and leadership awards: Bravo Awards for Channel Sales Management at IBM Sri Lanka, and the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Achievement at John Keells Holdings PLC for Corporate Communication and CSR.

Yukthi studied law (Juris Doctor, University of Minnesota) in the United States, and holds a post-graduate diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. He graduated from Berea College, Kentucky, USA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and German. Yukthi speaks English, German, and Sinhala fluently, and reads French. He was a Toastmaster for 16 years, was elected Silver Jubilee President of The Colombo Toastmasters Club, and was named “Rotarian of the Year” twice by the Rotary Club of Colombo West.

Yukthi formed the YKG Foundation and initiated “Project Transform” to change K-12 education in Sri Lanka by developing leadership skills of government-school principals and teaching 21st Century skills to students across Sri Lanka. He believes that no child must be left behind in education, which can catapult Sri Lanka to first-world status by 2048.

Currently, Yukthi works as an Executive Coach and Corporate Trainer and runs his own corporate training firm YKG Associates (Pvt) Ltd – which coaches, trains, and mentors people ranging from junior employees to leaders of organisations.
